1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Voluntarily Provide

When you join the waitlist, contact us, or use the App, you may provide:

• Name

• Email address

• Any message or information submitted through contact forms

• Tasks, calendar events, notes, and other content you create in the App

• Voice input and text input you provide to the App's assistant features

1.2 Google Account Data (App Only)

When you connect a Google account to the App, we access, with your explicit permission through Google's OAuth consent flow:

• Google Calendar: read and write access to create, edit, and delete events on your behalf

• Gmail (read): access to read your Gmail messages (sender, subject, body, timestamps, read/unread state) so the App can surface your inbox in-context

• Gmail (send): ability to send emails from your Gmail account on your behalf, at your direction

• Basic profile information (name, email address, profile picture) associated with the Google account

You may revoke Google account access at any time through your Google Account settings at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

1.3 Automatically Collected Information (Site and App)

When you visit the Site, we may automatically collect:

• IP address

• Browser type

• Operating system

• Device information

• Pages you viewed

• Time spent on the Site

• Referring website

When you use the App, we may automatically collect, through Firebase Analytics:

• Device information (model, operating system version, language, region)

• App usage events (screens viewed, features used, session duration)

• App version and installation identifiers

• Approximate geographic region (derived from IP, not precise location)

We use this information to improve the performance and usability of the Site and the App.

1.4 Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We may use cookies, pixels, and similar tracking tools on the Site to:

• Improve functionality

• Understand visitor behavior

You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time.

On iOS devices, the App will request permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework before any tracking activity that would fall within Apple's definition of tracking. You may decline this permission and continue to use the App.

2.1 General Use

• Provide, operate, and improve the Site and the App

• Provide updates about the LIFN app

• Send early-access invitations

2.2 Google Account Data Use

We use Google account data specifically to:

• Display your Gmail inbox and message content within the App

• Send emails from your Gmail account at your explicit direction

• Read, create, update, and delete Google Calendar events at your explicit direction

• Personalize the assistant experience based on your calendar and email context

2.3 What We Do Not Do

We do not sell or rent your information.

3. Limited Use of Google User Data

LIFN's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The full policy is available at https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy.

Specifically:

• We do not transfer Google user data to third parties for advertising or any purpose unrelated to providing the App's functionality.

• We do not use Google user data for advertising, including personalized or interest-based advertising.

• We do not allow humans to read Google user data except (a) with your explicit consent, (b) as needed for security purposes or to comply with applicable law, or (c) in aggregated and anonymized form for internal operations.

• We do not use Google user data to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized AI or machine-learning models. Google user data may be included as context in requests to our AI processing provider (OpenAI) solely to generate responses to your specific input; this data is not used by OpenAI to train its models per its API terms.

  
  

4. AI Processing

4.1 How the Assistant Works

The App uses artificial intelligence, including large-language-model services provided by OpenAI, to understand your voice and text input and generate responses. When you interact with the App's assistant:

• Your input is transmitted to OpenAI's API for processing

• Relevant context (such as recent tasks, calendar events, or email content) may be included in the request to enable accurate responses

• OpenAI processes this data under its own terms and privacy commitments; OpenAI does not use API data to train its models by default

4.2 What We Do Not Do

We do not use your input, content, or Google user data to train generalized AI models.

5. Email Communication

By joining the waitlist, you agree to receive emails from us about:

• Early access

• Product updates

• Announcements

• Offers or promotional information

You may unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email.

6. Sharing of Information

We may share your information only in the following situations:

6.1 Service Providers

We work with third-party vendors to:

• Host the website and App backend (including Google Cloud Platform, Firebase, and Supabase)

• Analyze site and app traffic (Firebase Analytics)

• Process assistant input and responses (OpenAI)

• Send waitlist emails

• Send push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging)

These providers may access your information only to perform services on our behalf and are contractually restricted from using it for other purposes.

6.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law or to:

• Comply with legal obligations

• Protect our rights and property

• Prevent fraud or security issues

We never sell personal information to marketers or unrelated third parties.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:

• Secure servers

• Encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest where appropriate

• OAuth 2.0 for Google account access (we never see or store your Google password)

• Limited internal access to data on a need-to-know basis

However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Site and the App may contain links to third-party websites or tools.

We are not responsible for:

• Their privacy practices

• Their content

• Any actions taken on those sites

9. Children's Privacy

The Site and the App are not intended for individuals under 16 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

If you believe we have unintentionally collected data from a minor, please contact us so we can remove it.

10. Your Rights

• Requesting deletion of your account and associated data

• Revoking Google account access at any time through myaccount.google.com/permissions

11. Data Retention

We retain your information only as long as needed for:

• Waitlist management

• Providing App functionality

When you delete your LIFN account, we delete or de-identify your account information, tasks, calendar events, chat history, and cached Google user data within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal or security purposes.

Google user data cached for App functionality is stored only as long as needed to provide the requested functionality and is refreshed or discarded on a rolling basis.

12. International Users

The Site and the App are operated from the United States. If you access them from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or via email where possible. Changes are effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Site or the App indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
